A budget for every financial year

Start from a proposal built on last year's actual amounts, with a percentage increase on income and on expenses. Edit each account by the year or by the month, or paste a row from a spreadsheet. The council approves the budget, and then it is locked. A revision keeps the previous version in the history.

Bank reconciliation by the month

Choose a bank account and the month you want to reconcile. The screen puts what the bank says beside what the books say, and shows the difference. For each entry that is not on the statement, you answer Yes or No. It reads FNB statements and PDF statements. Reconciliation is optional: the app never chooses a month for you.

Attach the invoice to the transaction

Attach a PDF or a photo of an invoice or a receipt to a transaction. It opens inside the transaction, and a paperclip in the list shows which transactions have proof. Only the people with access to Finance see it. It never appears in the Office documents.

A home page for Finance, and the council report

The home page shows the months of the financial year for each bank account, and checks that find mistakes before the auditor does. Each check says what is wrong and where you fix it. The council report shows income and expenses against the budget, and the balance of each fund, as a PDF for the council or the members.

Finance for the finance people only, and an auditor who only reads

A church can limit Finance to its finance people. Then a council member who is not one of them has no access. Give your auditor read-only access: reports and exports, but no changes. The finance people manage this in Finance > Settings > Access. A church with this limit always keeps at least one finance person.

Fixes in Finance

Dates such as 31/10/2026 read correctly, and a damaged file or a row from Excel no longer loses or changes amounts. Bank accounts, funds and used accounts are archived instead of deleted, and their history stays in the reports. A closed period never shows old figures after you reopen and edit it. The bank account for online gifts changes only in Finance. The Afrikaans screens no longer show English text.

Catechism: classes, lessons and roll call

Create a catechism class in Office under Ministries, plan the year's lessons, and take the roll on the day. Each learner is present, absent or excused. The class attendance shows on the learner's page in the register and in the elder's ward report, so the council sees who stays away.

Messages inside a group

A servant or a catechist posts a message to their own group, with an attachment beside it. Choose whether it goes to the servants, the members, or the families as well. Parents see their child's class messages in the Reformeer app. It never appears in the church news.

Delete a whole series of events

Create 52 weekly repeats and you now remove them with one button. Each repeat knows which series it belongs to. Right after you create the series, an Undo button shows for eight seconds.

The chat scope now sits under the ask bar

Pick your profile, the church documents or the library in a tray under the ask bar. It opens where you type. The recording button takes the whole row while you speak.

Documents have a home in Office

Church documents move out of Reformeer into a real document manager in Office: files in folders, uploaded with a drag, moved between folders, several selected at once. Archives stay ordered year by year.

Pick a rolling window for join dates: this week, this month, last month or this year. A report like 'New arrivals this month' is still right next month, with no dates to adjust. Joining method is now one of the columns you can choose too.

The register, rethought

Four cards at the top of the list: everyone, members, non-members and archived. Click one and you see only those people. You can also archive someone who was never a member, like a regular attender who moves away, without inventing a membership for them.

Transfers that land on the right person

When a transfer comes in, the system looks for an existing record. If it finds nothing, you point at the right person yourself and the two records merge. That helps when a surname has changed, or when someone is known by two.

Download the visitor list

Export visitors as a CSV, exactly as you filtered them on screen. When a visitor becomes a member we also record how they joined, and you can report on it.

The language a member picks in the welcome flow or the profile menu is now stored on their record. Messages that go out beyond the app use that language.

Logos: deep study in Scripture

One study mode in place of Liturgy and Bible study. Logos works a text the way a trained hand does: exegesis out of the text, word studies in Greek and Hebrew, locating a passage in the biblical storyline, and doctrinal questions tested against the Three Forms of Unity. Sermons and orders of service come back in full, to copy or download as a PDF. Choose Logos in the composer.
